SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Ozarks Food Harvest will receive a donation of 23,400 dozen eggs from area egg distributor Opal Foods on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 to help feed families in southwest Missouri.

Central Valley Eggs, a recently formed California company, today announced a new project to produce cage-free eggs. Customers statewide will be serviced with fresh eggs on a same-day basis from Central Valley local farms.
Central Valley Eggs is a partnership that includes Hickman’s Family Farms of Arizona and Missouri-based Opal Foods, both which are prominent national egg producers.
Ozarks Food Harvest receives more than 200,000 eggs from Opal Foods

Ozarks Food Harvest this week received a donation of over 200,000 eggs from Neosho-based Opal Foods.
With the latest gift, Opal Foods increased its egg count to Ozarks Food Harvest to nearly 357,000 for the year. In March, the company donated over 151,000 eggs, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.
