Vaccination Crew Member
Position Responsibilities:Once cartons of eggs are boxed and crated, associate is responsible for stacking boxes and crates onto palletsIn charge of monitoring and fixing tape machineResponsible for helping other positions and cleaning up as neededMust have attention to detail to ensure the boxes and crates are put on the correct pallets, labels are correct, and boxes are sealed properlyTransport eggs from Processing to the Cooler and unload carton trucks as neededMust be able to comfortably lift 25-45 lbs. up to 5 feet high to place on stacked pallet Requirements: (knowledge, experience, skills, education)Follows all Opal Foods Policies and Procedures including but not limited to Safety, Bio-security, FDA, SQF and GMPRequires walking, standing, turning, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, manual dexterity, eye-hand coordinationMust be able to establish and maintain good relationships and communication with co-workersMust be dependable and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
CDL-A Driver
Position Responsibilities:Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on truck and equipment.Secure loads and equipment after load out and emptying of trailers.Drive to assigned locations and perform unloading procedure per company and customer requirements.Interact with other drivers, loaders, and customers in a positive and professional manner.At the end of the work day inspect truck and equipment to ensure it is in good working order for the following shift.Other duties as assigned by leadership. Requirements: (knowledge, experience, skills, education)Must have current CDL-A licensure with a clean driving record.2 years professional CDL-A driving experience.Ability to read and write in English.Basic record keeping capabilities.Demonstrated history of complying with all Department of Transportation regulations.Must comply with all company safety and driving rules.
Moving and Service Crew Member with CDL-A
Position Responsibilities:Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on truck and equipment.Secure loads and equipment after load out and emptying of trailers.Drive to assigned locations and perform unloading procedure per company and customer requirements.Interact with other drivers, loaders, and customers in a positive and professional manner.At the end of the work day inspect truck and equipment to ensure it is in good working order for the following shift.Load and unload pullets/spent hens with no harm to birds while maintaining compliance with company policies and government regulationsComply with all company humane animal care policies, procedures and government regulationsComply with all company bio-security policies and proceduresHelp in other areas when neededOther duties as assigned by Lead person or Manager Requirements: (knowledge, experience, skills, education)Must have current CDL-A licensure with a clean driving record and 2 years professional CDL-A driving experience.Ability to read and write in English.Basic record keeping capabilities.Demonstrated history of complying with all Department of Transportation regulations.Must comply with all company safety and driving rules.Effectively communicate and work in a team environmentDemonstrate the ability to count and record countsAbility to quickly and accurately coordinate hand movement based on visual observationMust be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and lift up to 5 lb. hensMust be comfortable handling live birds and working while surrounded by live birds on all sidesMust be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduledCandidates must not have contact with any bird species of any kind, other than the laying hens owned by the company
