Processing Positions
Case Packer
Position Responsibilities:Set up work area and prepare packaging for the dayStart on-time packaging one dozen, 6-pack and 18-pack cartons or flats of eggs into crates, boxes or onto palletsEnsure all packaging is labeled properlyClean up work area throughout the day; keep floor free of egg and debrisHelp other team members as needed throughout the dayPut away packaging from work area and clean up at the end of the dayOther duties as assigned
Requirements: (knowledge, experience, skills, education)Must be able to read and match labelsMust demonstrate attention to detailsMust be able to work at a fast-pace, stand in one space and complete repetitive tasks extended time periodsMust be available to be scheduled for work 7 days a week including holidaysMust be clocked in and ready to work every day scheduledMust be able to stay until eggs have completely run out of houses
Stackoff
Position Responsibilities:Once cartons of eggs are boxed and crated, associate is responsible for stacking boxes and crates onto palletsIn charge of monitoring and fixing tape machineResponsible for helping other positions and cleaning up as neededMust have attention to detail to ensure the boxes and crates are put on the correct pallets, labels are correct, and boxes are sealed properlyTransport eggs from Processing to the Cooler and unload carton trucks as neededMust be able to comfortably lift 25-45 lbs. up to 5 feet high to place on stacked pallet
Requirements: (knowledge, experience, skills, education)Follows all Opal Foods Policies and Procedures including but not limited to Safety, Bio-security, FDA, SQF and GMPRequires walking, standing, turning, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, manual dexterity, eye-hand coordinationMust be able to establish and maintain good relationships and communication with co-workersMust be dependable and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Sanitation Technician
Position Responsibilities:Prepare work area for cleaning in order to protect equipment and materials from damage.Use water, tools, and specific solutions to clean egg processing equipment.Must follow specific instructions on cleaning techniques and processes in order to ensure equipment sanitation and to prevent equipment damage.Must work with a sense of urgency in order to have equipment cleaned in time for USDA pre-operational morning inspection.Must work in a safe manner to prevent injuries to themselves and co-workers.Must work as a team and be willing to help other team members as needed throughout the shift.Other duties as assigned
